MEP Engineering and MEP Design
MEP Services – Mechanical and HVAC systems design
We develop advanced design for the wide range of mechanical MEP services – from systems that provide thermal comfort in residential buildings, offices or hotels, systems used to keep necessary parameters within strictly defined values (intensive care units in hospitals or fine art storages in museums), to safety systems such as smoke extraction and pressurisation.
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems design
- Natural and passive ventilation systems
- Compressed air systems
- Gas systems
- Oil fuel storage and distribution systems for generator plants
- Chilled water generation and distribution
- Hot and cold water systems
- Pressurisation and smoke extraction systems
- Combined heat and power (CHP)
- Building management systems
- Energy management systems
- Energy storage systems (e.g. ice storage)
MEP Services – Electrical
Electrical services (low and extra low voltage) are, to a great extent, shaped by the future use of the building. We start with this in mind and approach each project analytically and holistically. This results in solutions that ensure optimized power rating, necessary availability and security, required data rates, smart system monitoring and sustainable use of energy. We integrate tried-and-tested latest technologies.
- Power generation and distribution systems
- Protection and monitoring systems
- Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
- External and internal lighting
- Emergency lighting systems
- Small power systems
- Earthing and Bonding
- Lightning protection
- Fire detection and alarm systems
- Communications, voice, and data (ICT) systems
- Security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms etc.)
- Audio-visual and entertainment systems (IPTV/MATV, CATV)
- Public address, voice evacuation and & sound systems
- Specialized low-current systems (nurse call systems, master clock systems, etc.)
- Building management systems
- Photovoltaic (PV) energy collection
MEP Services – Plumbing
Water is a precious resource that sustains us. Plumbing systems ensure that freshwater is available to building occupants and that the wastewater is removed efficiently. When designing plumbing systems, BWK engineers analyze the water requirements to determine the right installation and calculate the optimal flow rate, capacity, pipe placement and diameter.
We follow local building codes, help to reduce cost by estimating the proper size of pipes and fittings and improve the performance and energy efficiency through water conservation measures.
